Did you know sickle cell disease is not a "Black" disease and that many ethic groups are impacted by it?
If any of that is news to you and you are interested in joining us to accomplish the mission of providing community awareness, education and prevention information about sickle cell disease, don't wait register to volunteer with us today. BTSSCC offers valuable services to our community and is always looking for dedicated, caring individuals to volunteer. There are many ways you can volunteer, such as providing educational outreach at community health fairs, fundraising to support the annual sickle cell warrior walk/run 5K, collecting toys for the Tis' The Season Holiday Party, hosting education table at blood drive for SCD donors and many more community centered, educational, family fun events.
By volunteering with BTSSCC you can help share information that will raise awareness and help individuals make informed decisions to break the cycle of sickle cell disease and end the impacts of this painful blood condition. Successful advocacy to make a difference and improve sickle cell awareness requires collaborative partnerships from all members of the community and special people just like you!
